The Importance of a Loan Officer

The mortgage process can be very frustrating if you do not understand the entire borrowing process as well as all of the different type of loan programs available for you. Understanding the programs will help you and your loan officer determine which program is best for you, your family and your financial situation.

Your Loan Officer should:

  • Educate you and guide you through the loan process
  • Understand all the different loan programs and explain them to you
  • Listen to your needs
  • Understand your financial situation
  • Communicate to you throughout the entire loan process

Ultimately it is our job (and responsibility) to make sure that your experience with us is a smooth transaction from the initial application to funding of the loan, and beyond.  I have 20 years experience in the mortgage industry and understand your home is the biggest investment you’ll make.  I will make sure that you are informed of the steps along the way, your questions are answered and the process is as pleasant as possible.  I want to earn your trust and be your mortgage advisor today and in the future.

It was a pleasure to work with Barry on our two mortgages.  We had a kind of odd situation as we needed to refinance our existing home and also finance a new home.  Barry was extremely knowledgeable, honest, friendly and accessible.  He walked us through every step of the process and was extremely prompt in answering my many questions, and on top of that he was able to offer a very competitive rate.  I would not hesitate for a moment to refer family and friends to Barry.  I have already recommended Barry to a colleague that was having trouble refinancing with a local bank, and Barry was able to get him refinanced quickly at a great rate. - John
